The London 2012 Games: the last hurrah
This afternoon, I attended a meeting at the Department for Culture, Media & Sport to discuss a communications programme for when the Government announces a timetable for switchover to digital radio. I was there in my capacity as the Chair of the Consumer Expert Group.
The DCMS is located just off Trafalgar Square so, once the meeting was over, I walked round to the square where a huge screen had been showing the procession of the 21 floats carrying the British Olympiads and Paralymiads on their route from Mansion House to Buckingham Palace. I was just in time to see the fly past which concluded with the spectacular Red Arrows.
Now it really is all over …
