The music of Adele

I may be a man in his early sixties, but I try to keep up with popular music. So I decided to check out the work of Adele which has become so popular in both the UK and the USA.

I bought her latest – the second – CD called simply “21”. It is really good and she has a terrific voice. My favourite track is “Set Fire to The Rain”.

    I have a recommendation for you, too: Adele said that she wrote ’21’ after touring through the US listening to country songs. I don’t get many country references on ’21’ myself, but treading that well-trod, but very satisfying line between country and folk is Sahara Smith, whose album ‘Myth of the Heart’ I’ve been alternating with Adele’s. Well worth checking out!
