In green waste the Government regulations do not allow you to put anything other than garden waste in the ‘green’ waste bin. I can understand why they do not want any cooked waste, but peelings both fruit and vegetables – maybe its because the use of pesticides is too heavy for the Council to deal with.
So what you would ‘compost’ in your own heap – is not acceptable to the authorities. Leading Question – why not?
