It’s two decades now since the collapse of the Communist regimes in Central & Eastern Europe but we sometimes need to remind ourselves of the terrible human cost of those repressive systems.
Today saw the publication of the obituary by a friend of mine of one of the victims of Communist totalitarianism in what was then Czechoslovakia, the birthplace of my wife’s father. She was Marian Rose Šlingová-Fagan and you can read about her life here.
