How many of these books have you read?
Apparently the average is six (although this is probably just an invention), but I’ve read 20 of these 100 books.
I’m guessing that my American cyberbuddy Dana has read more than any of my friends.
What about you?

Well, I’m seriously impressed, Sharon.
I need to do more reading.

Sharon has read more of them than I have. I have read 40. I am reading one more of them right now (The Shadow of the Wind) and tried to read another, but didn’t finish and might return to it later (The Golden Compass).

Hi Roger,
I’ve read 36 of them. As I read both of the 2 books by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (100 Years of Solitude & Love in the Time of Cholera) in Spanish, and read the Bible in both English and Hebrew, does that count for extra points? (Just kidding 🙂

You definitely deserve extra points for the whole of the Bible in any language.

Reading the Bible was a project that took me 11 years to complete – I started when I was 14.

Then it was a project of Biblical proportions.
But was it worth it?

Well, I’m prepared to admit that I read only 17 of them. (That I can recall.) But it’s a very odd list – some classics, and some very stupid books (such as the Da Vinci Code, which I, um read – but am not proud of this fact.)
