A review of the film “Before Midnight”
First, there was “Before Sunrise” (1995); then there was “Before Sunset” (2004); now there is “Before Midnight” – each nine years apart, each with the same directors and stars.
The three films are the best trilogy of my half decade of movie-going.
You can read my reviews of all three films here.

Hello Roger
I am wondering – do you have a favourite Cinema that you go to see all these movies? Do you prefer to go during the day or at night? Do you go on your own or take someone?
Cheers

Hi, Nadine,
The answers to all your questions is that it varies.
I see some films at home on rental DVDs; I go to a local multiplex cinema quite often; central London has many good cinemas and I usually see blockbusters and independent films in town but at a variety of cinemas.
I usually go to the cinema in an evening but, if I have several hours between meetings in town, I will go in the afternoon.
Often I see a film with my wife; sometimes with one of several friends; sometimes on my own – it depends on the type of film and where I am going t see it.
It is the film that matters – everything else fits in.

Thanks for filling in the picture Roger.
I quite like going to movies on my own – no worrying if the other person is enjoying themselves. I’ve been catching up on films on DVD recently. I finally saw “My Beautiful Laundrette” – Daniel Day-Lewis is practically only a boy in it! And to think now he’s played Lincoln so wonderfully.
Cheers
