This week’s national election (2)
I’ve already done a posting about one national election this week. This was in Rwanda where the result could not have been clearer.
The other national election this week was in Australia where the result is so close that we still do not know the final outcome and might not for some days or even weeks. Almost certainly the consequence of the Australian election will be a hung Parliament and therefore the first coalition government in that country since 1940.
It’s ironic that, in the UK and Australia, in a matter of a few months both have been forced to adopt coalition government for the first time since the Second World War.
