Speaking about the war
My wife Vee is a twin and her twin sister Mari is a member of the Bognor Hotham Rotary Club. Months ago, Mari suggested to the Club that I speak about their father, who was a night fighter ace in the Second World War, since I wrote a biography of him which was published in 1985.
Last night, I gave my speech which was very well-received and gave rise to a lot of questions from an audience of 35. I spoke from notes but I drew upon two sections of my web site, one specifically on Flight Lieutenant Karel Kuttelwascher and one on the role of Czechoslovaks in the wartime Royal Air Force.
