Seriously, though, I think it’s a lovely, gentle, playful, simple and (bonus!) musical explanation of the skeptical position in terms of how we approach the world and work out what to believe and base our life decisions on (I love the way he uses the phrase “under acceptable experimental conditions” in each verse). I’ve never heard of him before but plan to see him live if he’s in the UK.

Mind you, if someone does come up with proof, Mr Minchin won’t have a leg to stand on.

Well, he would have a leg to stand on – but only one. And he would be short of a piano and a wife, so life would be somewhat quiet.
