Why truth matters
I’m one of those people who, when I start watching a film, I finish it and, when I start reading a book, I finish it. I feel that it’s not right to judge a narrative without concluding it. However, even I have exceptions – and today I made one of them.
I’ve been trying to read a book called “Why Truth Matters”. It’s clearly an important subject and the title resonants strongly with a powerful belief that I hold. However, I’ve had to abandon this philosophical work as unreadable. There is just so many times I can struggle with words like epistemology and postmodernism.
But, of course, truth does matter and so I’m going to try, over the next couple of weeks, to write up a short essay on the theme for my web site using accessible language.
