Word of the day: coprolite
When I come across a new word, I like to look it up and try to remember it . I am currently reading the J K Rowling novel “The Casual Vacancy” and she uses a word with which I was unfamiliar.
It is ‘coprolite’ which I have learned means fossilised animal dung. Apparently this is important for paleontologists but Rowling uses the world in a metaphorical sense.
