How to travel wisely
I love travelling to other countries because I learn so much about other places and cultures. But there is an art to getting the most out of a trip and avoiding problems in new locations.
So years ago I wrote a piece for the Life Skills section of my web site called “How To Travel Wisely” and up-date it from time too time. Even though it is my own advice, I reread it every time I am about to go abroad – like now. You might want to check it out here.

So do you send many postcards Roger? I thought my Mum and I were the only people in the world still to regularly send postcards. We had a weekend away together in Canberra and between us posted 20!
Cheers

Since I started taking an IPad with me on holiday, I send no postcards.

Oh that’s such a pity Roger! It’s so nice to receive a postcard in the letterbox. Or, I suppose in the UK, through the front door. You might send at least one to Catrin. In my experience children think getting mail personally addressed to them is marvellous. Even if it arrives long after you’ve arrived back yourself!
