I have always been well aware of the importance of 1 April to the RAF because, in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rogerdarlington.me.uk\/nighthawk.html\">the biography <\/a>that I wrote of my wife&#8217;s father, I noted that his wartime night intruder operations started on this date.<br \/>\nToday the 90th anniversary was marked by <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/1\/hi\/england\/london\/7323865.stm\">a fly past<\/a> over central London at 1 pm.
