I’ve not blogged for a few days because this week has been such a very busy time.<\/p>\n

I’m the Member for England on the Ofcom Consumer Panel<\/a> and, on Tuesday, we had our monthly meeting and met our new Chairman Anna Bradley.\n
I’m the Chair of the Greater London Region on the Postwatch<\/a> Council and, on Wednesday, we had our monthly meeting which lasted five and half hours.\n
I spent the whole of Thursday at the Oxford Media Convention<\/a> where I spoke in a panel on the impact of new media on public service broadcasting.\n
On Friday, I was back at Postwatch<\/a> for a discussion on the output a research project which involved a PowerPoint presentation with no less than 80 slides.\n
By Friday evening, I was ready for some social life and Vee and I had dinner with good friends in “Rules”<\/a>, the oldest restaurant in London (established in 1798), where one of the other diners was the new England football manager Fabio Capello<\/a>.\n
Today – a very wet and miserable Saturday here in London – I was down town to spend time with my wonderful sister who was visiting from her home city of Leicester.\n
Time now to start reading a new 700-page biography of Fidel Castro<\/a> before we go on holiday to Cuba in March.<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
