It &#8216;s two-hour drive from our home in London so we broke the journey by stopping for coffee at a place we haven&#8217;t visited before, an excellent pub, restaurant &#038; farm shop at Kingsfold called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.food-emporium.co.uk\/wiseoldowl\/index.html\">&#8220;The Wise Old Owl&#8221;<\/a>.<br \/>\nMari and Derek live in a village called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sussexcoast.co.uk\/villages\/felpham.php\">Felpham<\/a> just east of Bognor Regis. Although the weather wasn&#8217;t brilliant, it was dry and we strolled along the sea front to have a delicious cooked breakfast at a place called &#8220;The Lobster Pot&#8221;. Later we visited the historic town of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arundel.org.uk\/\">Arundel<\/a> which was founded by the Romans and has an imposing castle. We looked around the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arundelmuseum.org.uk\">Arundel Museum<\/a> and called into some of the many antique shops.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s always very relaxing to visit Felpham and, for Vee, it&#8217;s a return to the area where she was brought up. However, for me, a few days is enough because, as someone who has only ever lived in Manchetser or London, I&#8217;m a townie who loves a faster pace of life and a more cosmopolitan citizenry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vee and I have just returned from a couple of days visiting her twin sister Mari and her brother-in-law Derek on the south coast of England.
