We had asked our son Richard to say a few words and he gave a very fluent and funny little speech. I responded in light-heated manner. Many people brought gifts but, in all the confusion, we’re not sure who gave us what, so many thanks to all.<\/p>\n

The event was billed as running from 2 – 6 pm. However, the first guests – a group of four relatives from South Wales – arrived one hour early, while the last to leave departed at 9.30 pm (but they were relatives helping with the clearing up).<\/p>\n

So it was long day – but a most<\/em> enjoyable one. We have wonderful families and great friends and it was really fun to celebrate with them our first 25 years together.<\/p>\n
