This set me thinking about the prevalence of toll bridges.<\/p>\n<p>When I was in full-time employment, I often used a little toll bridge in Oxfordshire. The <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Swinford_Toll_Bridge\">Swinford Bridge<\/a> actually dates back to 1769.<\/p>\n<p>Wikipedia provides a non-exhaustive list of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_toll_bridges\">toll bridges around the world<\/a>.
