I feel that it&#8217;s not right to judge a narrative without concluding it. However, even I have exceptions &#8211; and today I made one of them.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve been trying to read a book called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/0826476082\/202-2645731-6754214?v=glance&#038;n=266239\">&#8220;Why Truth Matters&#8221;<\/a>. It&#8217;s clearly an important subject and the title resonants strongly with a powerful belief that I hold. However, I&#8217;ve had to abandon this philosophical work as unreadable. There is just so many times I can struggle with words like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.answers.com\/topic\/epistemology\">epistemology<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.answers.com\/postmodernism\">postmodernism<\/a>.<br \/>\nBut, of course, truth <b>does<\/b> matter and so I&#8217;m going to try, over the next couple of weeks, to write up a short essay on the theme for my web site using accessible language.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m one of those people who, when I start watching a film, I finish it and, when I start reading a book, I finish it.
