I’ve lived and worked in London since 1971, but I still enjoy being a tourist in the city. I spent today with my Chinese ‘daughter’ Hua and Chinese ‘grandson’ Joshua (who live in Oxford) together with Hua’s cousin Nan (who lives in Phoenix in the USA).<\/p>\n
We started by watching the changing of the guard<\/a> at Buckingham Palace and finished by going on the London Eye<\/a>. In between, we viewed Parliament Square and Big Ben, Whitehall and Downing Street, Horse Guards, Trafalgar Square, and the South Bank.\u00a0 Throughout I gave a running commentary with explanations of British politics, history and culture.<\/p>\n And all the while it was blazing sun and 76F\/24C.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I’ve lived and worked in London since 1971, but I still enjoy being a tourist in the city.
