It has just published its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iwf.org.uk\/news-media\/news\/three-fold-increase-of-abuse-imagery-of-7-10-year-olds-as-iwf-detects-more-child-sexual-abuse-material-online-than-ever-before\/\">annual report<\/a> and the headline messages are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Record amount of child sexual abuse material taken down after action by IWF.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>More reports investigated in 2021 than in the whole first 15 years of IWF\u2019s existence.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Three-fold increase in imagery showing 7\u201310-year-olds who have been targeted and groomed by internet predators.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>UK Government launching new campaign to help parents and carers spot the signs of online abuse and grooming.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Warning that devices can be an \u201copen door\u201d for sex predators to access children alone in their bedrooms.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>From 2000-2005, I served as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rogerdarlington.me.uk\/iwf.html\">the first independent Chair<\/a> of the IWF and I know what excellent work is carried out by the dedicated team there. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) is the UK body established by industry to combat child abuse images online.
