The number of deaths with covid 19 mentioned on the death certificate now totals 160,824. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These figures compare with the suggestion at the start of the pandemic that \u201ca good result\u201d would be 20,000 deaths. What has happened &#8211; and is still happening &#8211; is both a tragedy and a disgrace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The way things are going the final death toll in the UK will not be that much less than the cost of the so-called Spanish flu of 1918.
