It is usually estimated as between 20 \u2013 50 million, but the lowest estimate is 17 million and the highest is 100 million. The current pandemic is far from over, but currently the death toll stands at just over 3.5 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation for Britain is interesting. The death toll from Spanish flu was 228,000.
