We were hearing the results of a piece of research which we jointly commissioned with Royal Mail. The presenters threw me when they started to use the term &#8216;conjoint analysis&#8217;.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve never previously come across this phrase and I regard my English vocabulary as rather good. I now know that it  is a specialist marketing term (and a very ugly one, I might add).
