Apparently inspired loosely by actual events, this film – scripted by the British Steven Knight and directed by the American Robert Zemeckis – presents all the British characters as cardboard cut-outs and sadly it is often too slow and overall increasingly implausible with a weak ending. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yet it looks really good: as well as the watchable two stars, the costumes and sets are authentic and clever special effects render the aircraft of the time in convincing form.\u00a0
