In the end and most unusually, they decide to back two candidates: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2020\/01\/14\/opinion\/elizabeth-warren-nytimes-interview.html\">Elizabeth Warren<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2020\/01\/15\/opinion\/amy-klobuchar-nytimes-interview.html\">Amy Klobuchar<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2020\/01\/19\/opinion\/amy-klobuchar-elizabeth-warren-nytimes-endorsement.html\">This feature<\/a> is a thoughtful assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the different personalities running for the candidacy, so it is worth reading. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of my closest American friends are backing Bernie Sanders again but, if I were an American, I think I would be supporting Elizabeth Warren.
