{"id":22939,"date":"2018-05-05T09:09:30","date_gmt":"2018-05-05T08:09:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rogerdarlington.me.uk\/nighthawk\/?p=22939"},"modified":"2018-05-05T09:09:30","modified_gmt":"2018-05-05T08:09:30","slug":"whats-on-your-to-do-list-and-how-best-can-you-manage-such-a-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.rogerdarlington.me.uk\/nighthawk\/?p=22939","title":{"rendered":"What&#8217;s on your to-do list and how best can you manage such a list?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In an effort to encourage consumers to check\u00a0during this Bank Holiday weekend whether they ever had\u00a0Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) , the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) commissioned research which found that the top items on people&#8217;s to-do list are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sorting out banking \/ finances<\/li>\n<li>Planning and preparing evening meals<\/li>\n<li>Booking appointments: dentist \/ doctors etc<\/li>\n<li>Taking out the rubbish<\/li>\n<li>Changing the bed linen<\/li>\n<li>Filling in forms e.g. passport applications<\/li>\n<li>Renewing insurance<\/li>\n<li>Purchasing new clothing \/ uniform items<\/li>\n<li>Holiday planning (booking \/ organising)<\/li>\n<li>Cooking breakfast<\/li>\n<li>Hosting a Sunday lunch<\/li>\n<li>Doing the ironing<\/li>\n<li>Filling the car up with petrol<\/li>\n<li>Speaking to energy companies to get a better deal<\/li>\n<li>Loading the dishwasher<\/li>\n<li>Garden maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Calling repair \/ trades person<\/li>\n<li>Booking the car in for MOT \/ Service<\/li>\n<li>Organising days out with friends<\/li>\n<li>Planning family get togethers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fca.org.uk\/news\/press-releases\/do-list-tension-uk-households-face-average-33-tasks-week\">FCA media release<\/a> offered this advice on how best to manage your to-do list:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Plan\u00a0\u2013 Write your to-do-list the night before.
