But no, it really was a warning that volcanic ash from an eruption in Iceland was preventing flights from all UK airports. In all my six decades or so, I&#8217;ve never heard anything like it.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s bad enough that the Icelanders should have collapsing banks threatening the savings of British individuals and institutions.
