This followed an experience where a colleague bought me a cup in a London hotel at the utterly outrageous price of \u00a35.20 &#8211; but at least that was in the rich West.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve just returned from a three-week trip to China where I had another sky-high expensive experience in purchasing a cup of coffee. It was at Chengdu Airport from where I flew home. The cost was 58 yuan.
