It was the first non-sports event at the new Wembley Stadium in London and the date was Sunday 10 June 2007.<\/p>\n<p>I wondered why I could not find an account of the concert on this blog but, when I checked, I found that my blog was down for 10 days because of a massive spam attack. However, I was able to find a note on the event in my daily diary which I have maintained for over 50 years.<\/p>\n<p>I recorded that &#8220;the venue was excellent and the singing brilliant&#8221; while overall &#8220;it was fun&#8221;. My favourite songs from the concert were &#8220;Careless Whisper&#8221; and &#8220;Freedom&#8221;.
