{"id":16526,"date":"2015-01-12T11:54:59","date_gmt":"2015-01-12T10:54:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rogerdarlington.me.uk\/nighthawk\/?p=16526"},"modified":"2015-01-18T14:21:55","modified_gmt":"2015-01-18T13:21:55","slug":"maggie-gyllenhaal-and-the-honourable-woman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.rogerdarlington.me.uk\/nighthawk\/?p=16526","title":{"rendered":"Maggie Gyllenhaal and &#8220;The Honourable Woman&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Christmas, at my request, I was given the DVD box set of the BBC Two mini series <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Honourable_Woman\">&#8220;The Honourable Woman&#8221;<\/a> which was screened in the summer of 2014.<\/p>\n<p>This weekend, Vee and I started to watch the series and we were very impressed by the performance of American actress Maggie Gyllenhaal in the eponymous British role.<\/p>\n<p>So it was great to see this morning that Maggie has won the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goldenglobes.com\/maggie-gyllenhaal\">Golden Globe\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0Best Actress in a Mini-Series or TV Movie.<\/p>\n<p>Footnote: We eventually viewed the eight episodes in four sittings over just five days because the mini-series is so good.
