{"id":1597,"date":"2009-10-06T16:40:00","date_gmt":"2009-10-06T15:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rogerdarlington.me.uk\/wordpress\/?p=1597"},"modified":"2010-02-11T10:48:43","modified_gmt":"2010-02-11T09:48:43","slug":"back-to-6000-visits-a-day-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.rogerdarlington.me.uk\/nighthawk\/?p=1597","title":{"rendered":"Back to 6,000 visits a day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The traffic figures for my web site (which embraces my two blogs NightHawk &amp; CommsWatch) follow a couple of cyclical patterns not unrelated to work patterns in the web user population.<br \/>\nOn a weekly basis, traffic usually peaks on a Tuesday (when people have got on top of the new week&#8217;s e-mails?), slowly falls down to Saturday, and starts rising again on the Sunday (when I send out my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rogerdarlington.me.uk\/Thoughts.html\">&#8220;Thought For The Week&#8221;<\/a>). On an annual basis, traffic grows each month until May or June, falls back in the summer months when people go on holiday, and starts to climb again in September.<br \/>\nSo now I am back where I was in May with traffic peaking at around 6,000 visits a day.
