He was my wife&#8217;s father and we were both interviewed for the programme which has been broadcast several times since then.<\/p>\n<p>Karel Kuttelwascher died &#8211; of a heart attack aged just 42 &#8211; 50 years ago this month. To mark the occasion, a Czech version of the programme has been produced and will be broadcast on Czech television this evening. We&#8217;ve been sent a copy of the DVD and it&#8217;s weird to see oneself on television dubbed into Czech.<\/p>\n<p>Karel Kuttelwascher was an amazing character and my biography of him was published in Britain in 1985 and in the Czech Republic in 1993.
