This tells the story of seventeenth-century Iran through the reign and legacy of one of its most influential rulers, Shah &#8216;Abbas I who reigned 1587\u20131629 and founded the capital of Isfarhan.<br \/>\nI would always have been interested in this exhibition because I am keen on Middle Eastern history and Islamic architecture, but I was especially attracted to the event because I hope that we will holiday in Iran in the Autumn.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week, I was able to visit the British Museum and see the fascinating exhibition &#8220;Shah &#8216;Abbas: The Remaking of Iran&#8221;.
