I was there for the lauch of a new book called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/Consumer-Kids-Business-Grooming-Children\/dp\/1845298802\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1233314450&#038;sr=1-1\">&#8220;Consumer Kids&#8221;<\/a> and subtitled &#8220;How big business is grooming our children for profit&#8221;. The authors of the book are Ed Mayo and Agnes Nairn. Ed is Chief Executive of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.consumerfocus.org.uk\/en\/content\/cms\/home\/home.aspx\">Consumer Focus<\/a> where I am a Board member.<br \/>\n&#8220;Consumer Kids&#8221; is an important work which is already influencing the debate about marketing to children.
