This year, all of Vee&#8217;s family came over to us: her twin sister Mari and husband Derek, their sons Martin and David, the sons&#8217; wives Isobel and Sharon, and Martin &amp; Isobel&#8217;s children Yasmin (7 later this week) and Lucas (4). So 10 of us sat down for lunch of turkey with <em>all<\/em> the trimmings followed by Christmas pudding.<\/p>\n<p>Before the meal, we opened all the Christmas presents. I acted as Father Christmas, handing out the presents to Yasmin and Lucas who took them to the recipient. As usual and as wanted, I received lots of books, including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/A-History-World-Andrew-Marr\/dp\/023075595X\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1356468061&amp;sr=8-1\">&#8220;A History Of The World&#8221;<\/a> by Andrew Marr.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 3px solid black;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rogerdarlington.me.uk\/Xmas12.jpg\" border=\"3\" alt=\"\" width=\"336\" height=\"252\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span>Chief of presents Roger<br \/>\nwith his little helpers Yasmin and Lucas<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ours was great.
