My 13th short story
Before I went on holiday to Iran, I drafted my 13th short story. Since returning, I've finalised it and posted it on my web site.
It's called "The Away Day". Please check it out and let me know what you think.

Just to say I enjoyed the story and the lesson behind it.

I've taken a long time to comment on this story, Roger, as I found it very emotional. You posted this story on the very day that a close Dutch friend of my daughter was having his colon removed as a result of Crohn's disease. Like the character in your story, it hit suddenly whilst he was at university, necessitating a complete revision of his career plans. Through human interest stories and films like "The Aviator" OCD is much more widely known about and accepted, but Crohn's is still embarrassing.
